Auchinleck and Prestwick gents to the four
AUCHINLECK and Prestwick players teamed up to win a gents invitation fours tournament.
Winners at Auchinleck were Steven Rankin, Joe McGinlay, David Wilson and Drew Boyd. They beat Dalmellington’s Willie McArthur, Neil Milgrew, Willie Kerr and Joe Gration 8-2 in Saturday’s final.
West Lothian beat Falkirk in the final of the Trevor Whale tournament for under 30s. The plate for non qualifiers went to Blantyre who beat Whiteinch.
On Sunday, Gordon Woods and Josephine Williamson will hold a presidents day from 2-6pm.
Meanwhile, Auchinleck’s Stewart Anderson heads to Potters Holiday Village where he will play John Price on Wednesday January 7 in the world singles.
He then plays for Scotland in an under 25 international series from January 9 to 11.
