TURNBERRY’S John Broadfoot left a field of 148 trailing to win the Girvan Golf Classic.
He fired a three round scratch 207 to win by one shot from Gordon Cree (Welbeck) with Gary Bryden (Girvan) a shot further away in third.
The Ailsa handicap trophy went to Sam Oldman (Oadby) with a net 189. He was three ahead of Alan Brownlee (Maybole) with John Smith (Dalmilling) third on 193.

lAYRSHIRE had two top ten finishers in the Scottish Seniors Championship which ended at Dalmahoy on Sunday.
Largs hero Sam Torrance fired a four round 209 to finish two shots behind the winner Peter Mitchell while Prestwick based Ross Drummond was joint eighth after rounds of 74, 69 and 72 for a 215 total.
lTROON Ladies are the Greenlees Trophy winners after triumphing in Division One of the West of Scotland inter club league. It comes just 12 months after they gained promotion to the top flight after winning Division Two in 2007.
Prestwick St Nicholas finished sixth in Division One while Kilmarnock Barassie beat the drop when they beat holders Cochrane Castle 6-3.
In Division Two, West Kilbride finished runners-up to Milngavie. In Division Three, Lenzie and Cawder have still to post the final outstanding result, leaving Largs presently in third place and Turnberry in eighth.
