WHO won Girvan Golf Club’s Stevenson Trophy in 1976 and 1987?

That’s what the club would like to know, to complete its records. The trophy was stolen a few years back, and although it was recovered, its original base wasn’t.

The base had dozens of winners’ names engraved on it. And Girvan Golf Club have managed to find out most of them.

But they can’t unearth who won in 1976 and 1987, in order to put these names on a plaque in the trophy cabinet.

Anyone who can shed any light on these two years is welcome to contact the Post, and we will pass the information on to the club.
