Scott and Connie win with Tom Lehman

THE largest one day junior golf championship in the world for the Tom Lehman trophies at Troon’s Lochgreen, Darley and Fullarton courses went down a hit.

Claret jugs went to Scott Brown (Turnberry) who had a gross 70 over Darley and to Connie Jaffrey (West Kilbride) who had a gross 88 over Lochgreen.

Golfing legend Tom Lehman was so impressed with local golfing facilities when he played in the Open at Troon in 1997 that he donated trophies to be played for annually by juniors.

Now in its tenth year, the competition attracts more entrants each year with more than 350 across all handicap and pre-handicap categories of girls and boys.
