Sam tees up Girvan golf title
THE Girvan Boys’ Golf Championship has notched up its 40th year.
And Sam Findlater of Troon Welbeck GC secured the main Grants’ Trophy with a fine scratch 65.
The great event was again organised by members of the Rotary Club of Club.
The Nick Price Team Trophy, donated by Nick when he won the Open at Turnberry in 1994, was taken by Belleisle Juniors with a score of 208. (C Stewart 71, S. Clark 71, A Foley 66).
Gordon Laird, president of the Rotary Club of Girvan, also presented prizes to these age-group winners.
