LIZ NEILL stormed home with a three-round net total of 137 to retain her Girvan Ladies’ silver championship.
Her closest challengers were Roz McCulloch on scores of 145 and Marian Wilson on 150.
Lynda Gordon retained her bronze title with a battling 189, with Jenny Morgan and Kathleen Thomson second and third.
Marian Wilson had the best net score over the three rounds, and Wilma Cavens was nearest the pin on the last night.
Elinor Heggie, Lynda Gordon and Roz McCulloch each won prizes for best net scores on each of the three rounds.
Roz McCulloch tasted victory in the ladies’ June medal, thanks to a net 70. Marian Wilson was runner-up on net 73.
George Morgan was second class champ — a feat which included a hole-in-one at the tricky eighth hole. Rab Galloway is the handicap champion.

The men’s competition for the Andy Hay Five Club Trophy on Friday resulted in a win for Hugh Boyd (12) 62 with Gerry Davey (12) 63 runner-up.
Stuart White came out with the best scratch score of the day which was 69.
Girvan men compete for the Ardmillan Cup on Sunday, June 22, while the ladies have the Craig Trophy (Eclectic) tonight (Thursday, June 19) and the Ailsa Trophy on Thursday, June 26.
Rab Galloway and Willie Roberts took the men’s four-ball tourney with a net 56.
Gerry Davey and Stuart White were runners-up on net 58.
