Fierce matchplay competition
THE FIRST matchplay challenge between Maybole Gents Golf Club and the Pontoon Golf Club was played on Sunday.
The format was six doubles partnerships from each club over the home team’s SGU registered club. Maybole being the home team, the competition was played on the day at the Memorial Park golf course.
The winners of the challenge were Maybole, who triumphed five to one, although the individual matches were closely contested.
