ANNBANK boss Steph McMillan tipped Dwayne Hyslop as a star in the making after he sunk Maybole in a seven goal thriller.
It was Hyslop’s first game back after crocking his knee against Kilwinning in May and he capped it by scoring a glory winner.
McMillan said: “I turned down a big bid for Dwayne when Campbell Money was in charge at Cumnock. He has two good feet and is great in the air. It was a super performance from him but this team doesn’t know when it is beaten.”
Goals from Stuart McGrady (penalty) and Jordan Kerr put ‘Bole in charge but Mick McCann volleyed in a Paul McKenzie cutback just before the break.
Sub Neil McGinn equalised with his first touch but Maybole went back in front through Kerr.
‘Bole had Stuart Peacock sent off and Bankies took over. Jim Wilson sunk a penalty before Hyslop bulleted in a header for the winner after a McKenzie run.
‘Bole boss Peter Leonard claimed: “We missed Paul Kerr, Alan Love and Paul Cameron but had a great chance for 4-2.”
CUMNOCK hit back with goals from Gareth Campbell (penalty) and Ian Cashmore to beat GIRVAN 2-1 after Michael Moffat fired the visitors ahead. Girvan had Danny Cunningham sent off for conceding the penalty.
KELLO made it seven wins from seven at the top of the Ayrshire League but had to rely on an 89th minute winner from Paul Weir.
Stuart Bell fired Kello ahead against the wind but a John Nolan double turned the tables at the break. A David Jardine 30 yarder equalised before Weir won it.
CRAIGMARK striker Lloyd Murphy scored two and made the other in a 3-0 win at Ardeer.
After a goalless first-half against the wind, ‘Mark took over and Brian Kerr volleyed in a Murphy cross. The former Rangers youngster then scored two in the last six minutes, the first from a penalty.
‘Mark boss Lawrie Dinwoodie claimed: “Lloyd is good enough to go senior again.”
