STEVIE FARRELL has promised Cumnock will go for goals as they try to cause a cup upset on Sunday.
And he pledged they won’t sit back against Premier side Kilbirnie in the final of the Ardagh Cup at Meadow Park.
Farrell's men are underdogs but the boss insisted: “We won’t change the way we play so we will attack and make it an entertaining final. We’re coming off two defeats but I was happier with our second-half display on Saturday.”
Cumnock are bidding for their third silverware this decade after beating Kilwinning 5-0 in the Ayrshire Cup two years ago and Irvine Meadow 3-2 in the Kerr & Smith Cup in 2001/02.
'Nock crashed 3-1 on their first league visit to Ashfield's Saracen Park for 54 years, trailing to a Paul Maxwell headed double at the break.
Joe Gold got one back after a series of corners early in the second-half. Only woodwork denied an equaliser before Darren O'Donnell ran on to a long throw and curled home the winner with seven minutes to go.
Cumnock finished strongly and forced two good saves from keeper Chris Prior.
Kilbirnie had a Jamie Longworth double to thank for a 2-2 draw at Petershill.
