Troon Ladies enjoy an eightsome reel

TROON ladies kept their early season unbeaten record with an 8-0 win over Loudon at Dean Park on Sunday.

Keeper Emma Alexander, recently signed from Ayr United girls, took a nasty head knock early on and had to be replaced by Caitlin Barr.

The change didn't upset Troon and Claire Masterson put them ahead with a fine effort. Cheryl Low doubled the lead, Jillian Campbell grabbed the first of her hat-trick and captain Alison Duncan made it four at the break.

Masterson and Campbell both hit doubles in the second-half to complete their trebles while Kirsten McNab was unlucky with several efforts that went close.

New boss Derek McCutcheon was delighted with the performance but stressed it’s early in the season.
