Craigmark go close to shocking Cumnock

BRAVE Craigmark went close to a shock when they twice led Cumnock in the Ardagh Cup semi-finals.

But ‘Nock battled back and then dumped them 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out.

Manager’s son Scott Dinwoodie fired the Dalmellington men ahead in two minutes only for Ian Cashmore to quickly equalise. Brian Kerr put the home side back in front ten minutes after the interval. But Cumnock forced a shoot-out when Graham Wilson sunk a penalty after Kerr was harshly adjudged to have handled at a free-kick.

Into penalties and Dinwoodie, Lloyd Murphy and Jordan Marshall all counted for ‘Mark. Scott Caldwell’s kick was saved while Martin Lawrie hit the post.

Wilson, Tom Currie, Gareth Armstrong and James Tyler all netted for Cumnock with only Cashmore being foiled by the keeper.
