GIRVAN new boss Brian McLuckie has lined up four new faces and says star striker Michael Moffat is going nowhere.
Girvan, who have lost Kris Mitchell and Scott Houston who followed old boss Willie Thomson to Kilwinning, turned down a bid from Premier champions Irvine Meadow for Moffat.
McLuckie said: “Michael is glad that all the speculation is over and is happy to stay at Girvan. With Cumnock, Glenafton and Neilston coming down, the First Division is going to be tougher than ever so we need to add to our relatively young squad.
“I have agreed terms with four clubs and hope to have new faces in for the weekend.”
CUMNOCK are looking to speedy striker James Tyler to fire them to promotion. Boss Stevie Farrell fought off keen interest from elsewhere to sign the Kilwinning hit man who also played for Pollok and Irvine Meadow.
Other new faces are Gary McMenamin, brother of Dundee striker Colin, who joins from Dalbeattie Star, Kilwinning defender Craig Baxter and Glencairn full-back Willie Galloway.
ANNBANK have signed 14 of last season’s squad and added two new faces. Central defender Jay Ritchie has moved from Stranraer and been joined by former Hibs striker Neil McGinn, who scored twice in two games at the end of last season. Personal terms have been agreed with Glenafton midfielder Stevie Agnew who is also wanted by Cumnock.
GLENAFTON will bring ex-Ranger and former Stranraer boss Derek Ferguson on their coaching team. Boss Gordon Dalziel said: “I signed Derek for Raith so know what he has to offer.”
KILWINNING have snapped up former Troon striker Tommy Sloan junior from Winton Rovers.
HURLFORD have four players on the transfer list - keeper Darren Wilson, defender Robert Burgess, striker Michael Fulton and midfielder Gary Russell, who is a former club captain.
TROON season tickets are on sale at £45 and £15.
