Belmont Amateurs go for a shock
UNDERDOGS Belmont Amateurs are gunning for a shock in the semi-finals of the Ayrshire Amateur Cup.
The Second Division side are the first Ayr team in ten years to reach the last four when they meet Scottish Cup quarter-finalists Hurlford Thistle at Dam Park on Monday.
Boss Brian Sloan said: “Hurlford are Premier League and favourites but hopefully we’ll have something up our sleeve. If we play as we can, a shock could be on the cards.”
