Glenafton boys miss out on Scottish Cup glory
A BOYS’ football team had their dream of Scottish Cup glory dashed at the final hurdle.
Glenafton under-13s were beaten 1-0 by Edinburgh City at Airdrie’s Excelsior Stadium.
Manager John Stewart admitted: “This one is hard to swallow with so much possession and chances it’s only our own fault.
“The players and coaching staff are devastated. It’s going to be hard work to get them back on track for their league run in.
“But its a tremendous achievement reaching football’s major final and it’s a day they will never forget.
