TROON ladies extended their lead at the top of the Third Division with an 8-0 win over Boroughmuir on Sunday.
Stout defending kept Troon out until the 34th minute when skipper Alison Duncan headed home.
Cheryl Low doubled the lead when she cut in and forced the ball under the advancing keeper.
Troon took control at the start of second half and Duncan effectively ended the match as a contest when she forced the ball home.
Duncan completed her hat-trick with another fine header from a Low corner. Kirsten McNab made it five with a fine run from right back before firing in a powerful shot.
Shawnie McGeechan then got the goal her play deserved after quick thinking from a free-kick saw her fire the ball home.
Sub Sarah Dick then got on the end of a fine Lee Findlay cross. Dick’s powerful shot was well saved but from the resultant corner Katrina Mulveny netted.
McGeechan wrapped up the scoring at eight for the second week running.
Troon are at home tonight (Thursday) to Glasgow Uni and then away to the same team on Sunday.
