Eight-goal Troon Ladies looking good for title

TROON Ladies FC crushed long-time league leaders Stenhousemuir 8-1 to go clear at the top of the Third Division south.

And they did it the hard way after Danielle Connolly was sent off.

Shawnie McGeechan led the way with an incredible five goals, Fiona Woods grabbed two, including a penalty, while Jillian Campbell hit a stunning lob from 25 yards.

Troon now host Boroughmuir on Sunday (2pm) at Portland Park, looking to take another step towards the title.
