Ayr United get 11,000 seats initally for League Cup tie against Kilmarnock

AYR UNITED will get an initial allocation of 11,000 tickets for their League Cup semi against Kilmarnock.

But the Scottish League have told them: “Don’t worry, there is plenty more if you need them.”

Ayr will get 4500 seats in section ‘D’ 1-5 of the north stand. And they will have 3500 in section ‘F’ 1-4 in the east stand. Prices will be £15 and £5 for under 16s.

In addition, United will be allocated 3230 in section ‘I’ of the south stand where all seats are £20.

If Ayr need more, they will be sold by section in the north stand.

And if they fill that, the plan is to do the same in the east stand. Tickets will go on sale in the middle of December.

Meanwhile, 10 buses leaving the United club shop for the tie are now full.

A convoy of black and white coaches will start setting out from Somerset Park at 8.45am on the day of the tie.

The last of the 500 seats were taken at the weekend as fans get up for the cup.

The much awaited tie takes place at Hampden on Saturday, January 28 with a 1pm kick-off.
