AYR UNITED fans will watch First Division football at last season’s prices.
And the club say it’s a payback for their support in roaring them to promotion.
Season ticket prices have been frozen while adult gate admission will remain at £15 per game.
Director Lewis Grantconfirmed: “Prices are being held as a thank-you gesture to the fans and we won’t be adding on the VAT increase.
“The supporters were superb in backing us with First Division prices in the Second Division with a view to helping the team go up.
“It’s only right we don’t make a further imposition on them.”
Meanwhile, Michael Moffat admits he can’t wait to face a Manchester United X1 at Somerset on Monday, July 25.
Moffat, who was playing junior football last Christmas, admitted: “As a young boy, I always dreamt of playing against the best and Man Utd are one of the top teams in the world.
“It is something that has excited the players and the fans so hopefully a big crowd turns out and everyone enjoys it.
“We have the chance to play against the stars of the future.”
The game, which will kick off at 7pm, is hoped will be a fantastic family occasion, enjoyed by supporters of all ages.
Last summer, a similar Manchester United squad played St Johnstone winning3-2, followed by a 5-1 win at Dunfermline.
These games gave fans a glimpse of the next generation of Old Trafford stars.
Chairman Lachlan Cameron said: “It's a tremendous honour to have Manchester United visit. We are all really excited and we hope it will set us up well for a good season ahead on our return to the First Division.
“Sir Alex Ferguson is a great friend of the club and we are grateful to him for his support in arranging this fixture, which will allow our players the challenge of playing against the next Scholes, Beckham or Giggs.”
Tickets, priced £15 for adults and £8 for concessions, will go on sale shortly.
Ayr have now confirmed home friendlies against St Mirren (July 9) and St Johnstone (July 16).
Former Morton and St Johnstone keeper Kevin Cuthbert is on his way while Ayr continue to be linked with Dumbarton midfielder Andy Geggan.
The new season’s league fixtures will be released on Friday at 9am.
Ayr's stay in the First Division will be quick sweet, according to McBookie. They make them rank 80/1 outsiders for the title.
Odds: Hamilton 13/8, Dundee 5/2, Falkirk 8/1, Livingston 9/1, Partick 10/1, Raith 16/1, Ross County 16/1, Morton 33/1, Queen of the South 33/1 and Ayr 80/1.
