Drinks are on us say Bodog

HAVE a drink on us – that’s the call from Bodog ahead of Wednesday night’s Ayr v Brechin game.

United’s flamboyant new shirt sponsors are offering 500 fans a free pint on them.

Vouchers, available from the club shop, can be used in the hospitality suite either pre or post match.

A Bodog spokesman said: “We want to help the fans get right behind the boys on Wednesday night and a beer should help get everybody in full voice.”

The offer is open to all adult or OAP season ticket holders, supporters club members, silver club members and hospitality guests. Hospitality suite opening hours on Wednesday are 5.30pm to midnight.

nJUNIOR replica kit will carry the name of CLIC Sargent next season.

Bodog, the world’s biggest online betting company, didn’t want Ayr to advertise their name on kit for children.

They suggested a charity of the team’s choice should benefit. And Ayr chose CLIC Sargent which cares for children and young people with cancer.

United, as well as promoting the charity’s work, will also make a donation for every shirt sold.

May Gilchrist, community fundraiser, said: “CLIC Sargent are delighted to be associated with Ayr United who are great supporters of the work we do with children throughout Scotland.

“At Malcolm Sargent House, we provide holidays for children with cancer and the whole family. Our vision is a world where all children and young people live life to the full.”
