DERBY mascots are casting rivalry apart to go on the walk for the Ayrshire Hospice.
Ayr United’s giant Pandamonium is determined to put one over his Killie counterpart Nutz.
And he’s calling on Ayr fans to get behind him and raise cash for the hospice at the same time.
The mascots will lead off the Land o’Burns midnight walk on Saturday, May 14. There are three distances - four miles, nine miles and 13 miles.
Organisers want fans to either join the cuddly pair on the walk or donate to their efforts.
Panda quipped: "When the club physio first handed over my fitness plan, I was bamboozled. However, I'm now training hard so that I don't put in a paw performance."
Louis Jardine, fundraising manager at The Ayrshire Hospice, said: "We're delighted to have secured these two big name signings. I'm sure the fans of both clubs will get behind their mascots and support them with donations."
Panda and Nutz are aiming to raise as much money as possible for The Ayrshire Hospice, so to donate and help them finish top of the fundraising league, visit www.justgiving.com/panda-bear-super-ayr or www.justgiving.com/nutz-the-squirrel
