Ayr United face hectic midweek schedule of games

AYR have been given a hectic midweek schedule of games – and there’s more to come.

The packed programme kicks off on Tuesday when they head to third top Brechin.

The following Wednesday (February 23), Ayr welcome East Fife to Somerset Park.

On Tuesday, March 1, United travel to face Stenhousemuir. That’s followed 14 days later with a trip to leaders Livingston.

Ayr round off the current schedule on Wednesday, March 23, when they host Forfar.

A midweek date has still to be found for the game away to East Fife. It would have gone ahead last Saturday but for Ayr’s cup commitments.

lNew chairman John Dalton has predicted good times ahead for the Honest Men Trust.

Dalton said: "This is an exciting period for the Trust and we have a strong board of directors, determined to promote issues that matter to fans.

“We need to promote supporters’ views and ensure that the views of Ayr United supporters are heard in any debate that affects the future of our club."
