Ayr United bru up a double winner
WE asked you to vote...and you did, in your thousands.
Now the Ayr United Football Academy is £4500 richer after winning an Irn-Bru text challenge.
Ayr fans took up an Ayrshire Post plea and got their fingers working overtime to send more texts than any other club in the country. They polled 7214 votes, almost 1400 more than nearest challengers East Fife.
Another winner was 18 goal Bryan Prunty who was named Irn-Bru Phenomenal Second Division player of the season.
The awards were presented at a ceremony at Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket venue.
