IT’S good to talk...but it’s even better to text to help the Ayr United Football Academy.

And United stars Mark Roberts, Scott Agnew, Ryan Stevenson and Chris Aitken are happy to lead the way.

League sponsors Iru Bru are giving £4500 to the Second Division club whose supporters send the most text messages. And there’s £3500 for the runners-up.

But worringly for Ayr, they’ve fallen behind text fanatic fans of Raith and East Fife.
