Ayr United ask fans for share plans

AYR fans, who are bidding to buy shares in the club, have been asked to come up with a firm plan.

Mark Pettigrew and Stuart Galloway met chairman Lachlan Cameron to formally introduce ShAyr United to the club.

Cameron said: "We are happy to discuss any proposals which benefit the club and although a share issue has been discussed many times within the board room in recent years, it has always been decided against for a variety of reasons.

“The meeting with ShAyr United representatives was positive though and I have asked them to compose a proposal for the club to look at that is realistic and achieves the goals of raising a substantial sum of money for Ayr United FC.”
