Ayr United's Robbo off to Meadow

BIG money juniors Irvine Meadow have swooped for Ayr United free Chris Robertson.

Winger Ryan Caddis, who left Somerset Park at the start of last season, has returned to Hurlford United while Auchinleck have snapped up freed defender Craig Pettigrew.

Robbo, who joined Ayr as a striker, also played in midfield and in defence. He attracted interest from Queen of the South and Partick Thistle during his stint at Somerset but was only on the fringes before being released.

Meadow, who were pipped by Pollok for the Premier title, have freed former Stranraer stopper Derek Wingate.

Hurlford have raided Lugar for Campbell McLuskie, Mark Cameron, Michael Fulton and Mark Morrison. They have also signed Whitletts pair Darren Wilson and James Davidson along with Craigmark’s Martin Lawrie. Former Ayr and Queen’s Park youth keeper Stuart Strachan is another capture.
