Ayr United fans pay the penalty
EVER fancied taking a penalty at Somerset Park? Well four fans will realise their dream when they take kicks at reserve keeper Fraser Stewart during the interval of Saturday’s game against Brechin.
Lifelong fans John Kay and Jim Shields bought the chance at the club’s shirt auction night last May. And they have invited friends Wilson Kerr and Hugh Linden to join them.
The four supporters will take three penalties each with the winner receiving a signed ball and a bottle of champagne. Referee will be Joe Lumsden.
Manager Brian Reid and striker Andy McLaren handed out some tips at training on Monday night.
