United fans make some great saves

FOOTBALL mad Ayr United fans who have helped back their club financially are being rewarded with the chance to show off their own skills under the watchful eye of former Liverpool legend Kevin Keegan.

More than 80 Ayr fans have signed up to the scheme, depositing over £104,136.

Soccer Savings, the largest independent provider of savings accounts to football fans in the UK, have teamed up with the former England manager and twice European player of the year to offer fans free use of Kevin’s Soccer Circus facilities on Wednesday, July 4.

Non-account holders are also being encouraged to attend on the day and have the chance to meet Keegan by opening a Soccersaver account on arrival.

Based at Xscape, next to Braehead Retail Park, Soccer Circus is the world’s first interactive football skills game.

The event will run from 10am until 8pm, with Soccer Savings account holders invited to test their fitness, ball control and shooting accuracy before taking part in a ‘beat the goalie’ competition with a top keeper.

Soccer Savings and Dunfermline Building Society are the official savings partners of Ayr United and many other Scottish clubs.

As well as providing fans with a competitive interest rate, it gives United an income based on the amount of funds on deposit.

The Soccersaver account offers supporters a new way to save and support their club at the same time, providing assistance to youth development, or simply additional revenue to help take the club forward.
