United get shirty with six of the best

AYR United launched their shirt sponsorship campaign with a sixth game unbeaten.

Among the guests at the 1-1 draw against Brechin were many of this season’s campaign supporters plus the officials, coaches and young players of the Ayr United Football Academy who entertained the crowd and supported the launch.

Alex Ingram, chairman of the draw committee, officially launched the campaign shortly before 3pm by kicking signed match balls into the crowd and into the welcoming hands of some lucky Ayr fans.

At the half-time interval, there was an exciting ten second shoot-out between the academy’s under 14 and under 15 teams which ended with honours even in a great contest.

At a reception in the hospitality suite after the match, Mr Ingram thanked the fans and businesses for buying tickets in last year’s draw and reiterated how important their financial contribution was in assisting the manager to attract new players to United.

New manager Neil Watt also thanked the sponsors and spoke of his delight to be at the club and his desire to be part of an exciting future for the team, fans and sponsors of Ayr United. Neil also picked out the winning tickets in a free raffle for the guests.

First prize of match day hospitality for four, including three course lunch went to Russell McIntosh of Tu-Max Ltd.

A signed United shirt went to Gordon Shearer events while a bottle of United champagne was won by Mary Davies (Premier HomeCare). Details of this season’s draw from Hugh Cameron on 01292 263435.
