Big names tumble in Ayr Bowling Tournament

ONLY five of the 16 seeds remain in the last 32 of the gents singles in Ayr Bowling Tournament.

Still going strong on Thursday is Garry Johnstone, who was in the Auchinleck fours who won the Scottish title at the weekend. Other seeds still in contention are Gary Smith, Stuart Reid, Billy Anderson and Alex Cathie.

The only former winners still there are Reid, Cathie and Peter McArthur and Brian Fulton.
