PRESTWICK seniors continued their winning streak when they beat Ardrossan 62-50 at home.
Jim Fortune and Morris Sturgeon won by nine and seven shots respectively while Alan Paxton tied his game 13-13. Billy McArthur went down by four in a closely fought match.
The ladies' winning run came to an end when they lost by 12 shots at home to top of the table Lanarkshire.
Betty McKinlay and Val O'Neill won by seven and three shots respectively while Wilma Ogilvie went down by seven and Rita E Miller lost by 15 shots.
The gents suffered a 39 shot defeat away to high flying West Lothian who lead a very strong section. Paul Boyd scraped a draw against Calum Logan while the other three rinks suffered defeat.
Drew Boyd lost by eight against Neil Speirs, Joe McGinlay lost by 25 against Mark Allison and Craig Lindsay went down by six in a tight tussle with Tommy Mann.
In the Ayrshire League, Prestwick drew4-4 away to Galleon when they secured one winning rink, coupled with an overall plus six shot difference.
Prestwick's junior section will be represented at the SYIBA Dales Fours at Bainfield by Darren Weir, Craig Cathie, Andrew Weir and Jordan Slaven.
The teams have Saturday off as Craig Cobbledick sets off for Ardrossan on his quest for glory in the national junior singles championship. Craig faces Stonehaven's Daniel Colvin at 3pm with the final at 10am on Sunday should he make it through.
Coaching is available at the club every Monday and Wednesday at 9am. Call the stadium on 01292 477802 for further details or drop in at 9am on any Monday or Wednesday when qualified club coaches will be in charge.
The stadium will be open on Tuesday,December 27 and Friday, December 30 for anyone wishing to have a game. Sessions will be at 10am and noon. Rinks must be reserved before December 20.
