David Shields and Les Fowler in battle for Northdield

DAVID SHIELDS (Wattfield) will meet Les Fowler (Catrine) in the District 19 singles final at Muirkirk on Friday.

Shields booked his place with a 21-13 win over Ian Howarth (Peter Boyle) at Northfield while Fowler hit back from 11-3 down to beat Craig Mitchell (Lugar) 21-14 at New Cumnock. The junior singles final is between Stuart Wylie (Seafield) and Jordan Slaven (Tarbolton).
