DAVID KELLY became only the third player in the history of Ayr Bowling Week to defend his gents singles title when he beat Craigie’s Jamie Houston (Craigie) 21-10 in the final at Northfield.
Kelly, who won the title for the third time, follows in the footsteps of Jim McCubbin (Annbank) in 1981/82 and Willie Farrell (Cumnock) in 1935/36.
