Auchinleck senior bowlers beat leaders Ardrossan

AUCHINLECK seniors began the year on a high with a 77-49 win at home to league leaders Ardrossan.

Auchinleck hosted Blantyre’s73-50 win over Nithsdale in the SIBA TopTeam championship.

Auchinleck beat Prestwick 8-0(84-48) in a top team tie at Ayr.

Stewart Anderson helped Scotland beat Ireland in the under 25 international series at Ballymoney. But the Scots lost to Wales and England.

On Monday, he opened his bid for the world indoor singles championship at Potters leisure resort in Great Yarmouth with a 9-7, 14-1 win over Canada’s Fred Fong.

On Saturday, Auchinleck juniors travel to play Ardrossan in the second last league match from 10am to noon.

The gents travel to Arbroath in the Premier League while the seniors head to Glasgow for their last league match. Auchinleck are two points behind Ardrossan. If the seniors win by 26 shots, they can qualify for the semi-final.
