Ayr indoor gents face a double header

AYR Indoor face a double header on Saturday with the gents CIS team away to East Kilbride at 2pm while the seniors have a home match against Cumbernauld at 11am.

Team v East Kilbride: Rink 1: D. Lang, I. McClelland, J. Cuthbertson, M. Baillie; Rink 2: A. Jones, A. Law, J. Hunter, A. Baillie; Rink 3: A. McFadzean, P. McArthur, S. Carlyle, D. Gass; Rink 4: A. Aitken, J. Purdie, R. Gage, A. Reid; Reserves: D. Hunt, G. Neil, G. Hough, I. Kirkwood, R. Reid.

The club held the inaugural St Andrews invitation rinks trophy, which was part sponsored by South Ayrshire Council as part of the Homecoming Scotland celebrations. Sixteen rinks from all over the West of Scotland participated for the St Andrews Quaich.

The tournament was won by G. Hamilton, J. Lewis, D. Crawford and J. McCabe from the Galleon. They were trailing a Coatbridge rink 9-2 with two ends to play before scoring 5-4 to lift the trophy.
