Battle of Glaisnock
SEAFIELD'S Allister Reid and Derek Smith (Auchinleck) go head to head on Friday for a place in the Scottish Bowling Association finals at Northfield.
Another top clash in the District 19 finals at Glaisnock Valley will come in the triples when Tarbolton play Newton Park with several internationalists on view.
Friday's finals, which begin at 6.30pm, are: junior singles: James Gibson (Auchinleck) v Chris Duffy (Craigie); singles: Derek Smith (Auchinleck) v Allister Reid (Seafield).
Pairs: George Burns, Archie McNeillie (Rankinston) v Bob Craine, Kenny Renwick (Craigie); triples: Peter Brown, Craig Lindsay, Colin Smith (Tarbolton) v Andy Marshall, Gordon Nelson, Graeme Campbell (Newton Park).

Section one finals took place at Lugar last Friday when Smith booked his singles place in a thrilling 27 end final, beating Ian Connolly (Annbank) 21-20.

Section two results took place at Crosshill last Thursday when Reid booked his singles place with a 21-14 win over Wilson Duffy (Craigie):

The finals are at Northfield from July 29 to August 2 and for the first time will run in tandem with the ladies championships.
lSEAFIELD won the Ayrshire Association gold bowl with +46 shots. Fairlie won the silver bowl with +33 shots.
