Ayrshire open at Northfield

AYRSHIRE will open their bid for the Hamilton Trophy against Renfrewshire West at Northfield on Saturday May 9.

The same day, Ayr County head to Ardgowan to face Renfrewshire South. Ayrshire under 25s begin their campaign against Wigtownshire at Stranraer on Sunday May 10.

May 16: Ayr County v Wigtownshire (Springhill); Argyll & Bute v Ayrshire (Campbeltown); May 23: Ayrshire v Clackmannan & Kinross (Wattfield); Glasgow City v Ayr County (Mearns); May 24: Ayrshire U25s v Lanarkshire (Irvine Park); May 30: Ayr County v Stewartry (Kay Park); Glasgow v Ayrshire (Burnside); May 31: Ayrshire U25s v Dumfries/Stewartry (Forehill).

June 3: gold and silver bowls; June 6: Ayrshire v Dumbartonshire West (Craigie); Dumbartonshire East v Ayr County (Yoker); June 7: under 25s semi-finals at Kirkliston and Victoria Coatbridge; June 13: Ayr County v Dumfriesshire (Girdle Toll); Stirling West v Ayrshire (Spittalmyre); June 14: under 25s final at Kilsyth; June 18: west district finals (Springhill); June 20: Ayrshire v Lanarkshire West (Kilwinning); Lanarkshire South v Ayr County (Dalserf); June 24: north district finals (Kilwinning); June 28: east district finals (Mauchline) and south district finals (Ayr BC).

July 2: Glasgow v Ayrshire (on Glasgow Greens); July 5: Hamilton Trophy quarter-finals (Doune Castle, Armadale, Auchterarder, Shettleston); July 9: north v west inter district finals (Hurlford); July 10: south v east inter district finals (Dreghorn); July 11: youths inter district finals (Symington); July 12: Hamilton Trophy semi-finals (Denny, Ardrossan); July 19: Andrew Hamilton Trophy (Mount Vernon); July 25: Ayrshire finals (Wattfield).

Fred Winter (Wattfield) is Ayrshire president. Robert McCormick (Dundonald) is vice-president while David Houston continues as secretary/treasurer.
