Northfield’s derby joy
NORTHFIELD won Ayr Trophies Committee’s Westwater Cup, beating Newton Park 63-57 in an excellent final which wasn’t decided until the last two ends at Prestwick on Monday evening.
That gave them a double after they earlier won the Charles Smith Trophy.

lTarbolton’s Anne Reid and Colin Smith won the District 19 pairs at Annbank beating Tilly Moore and Scott McNeillie (Rankinston) 11-10 at Annbank. With the scores tied at 10-10 playing the last end, Rankinston gave away the shot.
Beaten semi-finalists were Dunaskin Doon (S. Dunn and A. Coulter) and Crooksmoss (L. Scott and A. Fortune).
Tarbolton now meet the District 20 winners for the right to head to Ralston at the end of August.
