Courageous Wilson battles to district final

BRAVE Wilson Duffy battled to the district 19 finals of the Scottish Bowling Championships only 24 hours after the death of his mum Susan.

Wilson valiantly insisted on playing on at Seafield last Thursday stressing it was what his mum, a keen bowler herself, would have wanted.

The Craigie man beat Allister Reid (Seafield) 21-19 to set up a final showdown against Dougie Watson (Mauchline) at Northfield on Friday.
