Ayr Trophies Committee opens new bowls season
AYR Trophies Committee opened the new season with first round matches in the Darley-Hay Top Ten on Monday evening.
Results: Peter Boyle 6, Kincaidston 2; Hawkhill 6, Prestwick 2; Crooksmoss 0, Craigie 8; Wattfield 4 (55 shots), Seafield 4 (66 shots).
Second round ties on Monday May 12 are: Seafield v Northfield (at Crooksmoss); Hawkhill v Ayr (at Forehill); Peter Boyle v Newton Park (at Hawkhill); Craigie v Forehill (at Peter Boyle).
AYR and Prestwick Seniors held their first games last Friday.
Results: Ayr 4, Howie 0; Craigie 4, Peter Boyle 0; Forehill 2, Prestwick 2; Hawkhill 0, Northfield 4; Kincaidston 4, Wattfield 0; Newton Park 1, Seafield 3.
Friday’s fixtures: Ayr v Peter Boyle; Craigie v Prestwick; Forehill v Northfield; Hawkhill v Newton Park; Kincaidston v Seafield; Howie v Wattfield.
