Post triples final is a family affair
A FATHER and son were in the winning team who scooped the Ayrshire Post floodlit triples at Ayr Bowling Club on Saturday evening.
Alex Thompson (Hawkhill) and his son Andrew (Northfield) teamed up with Wendy Reid (Hawkhill) to win the £450 first prize and Post trophy.
In the final, they beat Hawkhill trio John Lindsay and husband and wife David and Jean Cavers 11-7.
Beaten semi-finalists were Drongan’s Maryln Harris, Gary Green and Paul Barrett and the Crooksmoss triple of Diane Campbell, Craig Yates and Stuart Yates.
