TWO meetings of the 2009 flat season at Ayr remain – the Ghouls and Goblins Raceday on Friday, October 23 and the John Smith's No Nonsense Raceday on Saturday, October 31.
The opening race on the first day is the EBF Maiden Stakes over a mile at 2.10pm for two-year-olds.
Another interesting contest is the Karen Kennedy And Friends Celebration Handicap over one mile two furlongs at 3.55pm.
The last of the seven races is due off at 5.30pm – gates open on the afternoon at 12.10pm.
The flat finale for 2009 is the John Smith's No Nonsense Raceday on October 31 with the first of seven races at 12.45 pm.
The feature race is the John Smith's Handicap over a mile at 1.55pm with £15,000 in the prize fund. The final race is due off at 4.10pm.
These final two racedays will decide who wins the owners, trainers and jockeys championships for the 2009 flat season at Ayr.
Phillip Makin heads the jockeys championship on 50 points, 12 ahead of Paul Hanagan while in the trainers’ championship holder Jim Goldie currently trails Richard Fahey by 10 points.
Mrs Helen Steel is a solitary point to the good in the Owners Championship from Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
