Burns Trout Fishery at Tarbolton will be open as normal over the festive period.

Depending on how cold it gets this week, the fishery will try to keep the ponds open as much as possible but weather depending. Call the pond on 07527 405715 for latest fishing conditions or go to Burns page on Facebook.

The fishery wishes all customers and friends a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Some of the catches: on the fly pond: Tam Boyle four for 9lb 2oz, Mr Dalrymple one for 3lb.

On the bait pond: B Armstrong four for 8lb 2oz, T Haggerty four for 8lb, big Kim two for 4lb 8oz.

SPRINGWATER FISHERY (Dalrymple): The only winner last week was the weather with Jack Frost beating everyone.
