MARR step up their build-up to the season with a friendly at home to Premier Three side Irvine at Fullarton on Thursday (kick-off 7.30pm).
This match will allow them to work on combinations for what will be a new look side this season, with youth to the fore.
The team should boast the talents of several school leavers who represented Glasgow last year — Rory McGee, Fraser Fergusson and Andrew Bate just a few of the exciting additions.
New onfield leaders are captain Robbie Lockie and vice-captain Stuart Miller. Training will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm.
Other games: Saturday: away at Kilmarnock pre-season tournament; Saturday August 16: 1st XV away v Forrester, 2nd XV at home v Uddingston. Fixtures against North Berwick and Cumnock are also scheduled.
The under 17s and under 15s have started their preparations for the new season with sessions on Wednesday evenings.
The minis start on Saturday August 16 at 10am. These sessions are open to primary school age children from P3 through to P7.
