THERE has been a long line of couples meeting on the internet, falling in love and getting married. However, this appears to be the first time a couple who have the same names are getting hitched.
20-year-old Kelly Katrina Hildebrandt came across her namesake, 24-year-old Kelly Carl Hildebrandt on the social networking site while she was bored and surfing the internet.
The student from Miami, Florida, sent a message to her male counterpart, who lives in Lubbock Texas and the two struck up a friendship.
The female Kelly said she felt that the meeting was "all God's timing".
The Associated Press said that her fiance stated the first message she sent read: "Hi. We had the same name. Thought it was cool."
Mr Hildebrandt admitted he was unsure at first, due to the possibility they may have been related. However, the two stayed in daily contact and it was during a trip to visit her in Florida that he "fell head over heels" in love with her.
The couple were engaged in December when she found a ring in a treasure chest he had buried on a beach.
The pair will be married in October.
