Runaway cow provokes police chase

A COW made a bid for freedom and managed to escape from a slaughterhouse in New York.

The cow, who has been named Molly fled from the Mula Hasa Inc. slaughterhouse and took police on a chase across ten blocks.

When Molly was eventually caught, officials took pity on the heffer and she was spared death and taken to an animal rescue centre  - She  is now settling into her new home on a farm.
