Body recovered from River Clyde

A body has been pulled from the River Clyde, police said.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Mavisbank Gardens in Glasgow, which is next to Springfield Quay on the southside of the river, at about 5.40pm on Monday.

Strathclyde Police said a body was recovered.

A statement from the force said it is carrying out "extensive inquiries" to identify the person.
