Woman, 60, hurt in lorry crash

A 60-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a lorry.

The woman had to be cut free from a car by firefighters after a collision between a lorry and two cars on the A89 at Broxburn in West Lothian at 6pm.

She was taken by ambulance to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with back, leg and neck injuries.

A spokeswoman for the fire service said: "Three vehicles were involved, one of which was a lorry. Fire crews used cutting gear to extricate a 60-year-old from a car.

"She was then taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with suspected leg, back and neck injuries."
