Seven supporters arrested at match

Seven football supporters have been arrested over "disruptive" behaviour at the Hearts v Celtic match at Tynecastle, police said.

The men, aged from 20 to 44, will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday.

Lothian and Borders Police suggested there could be further arrests as officers scan CCTV footage of the fixture which Celtic won 4-0.

Superintendent David Carradice said: "Our priority is everybody's safety and we will take action against the small number whose disruptive behaviour spoils the match for the decent fans.

"It is important to remember there was CCTV and video recording equipment within the ground.

"This will enable police to take action in the coming days to trace those responsible for unacceptable behaviour."
