A man has been stabbed to death in a city street.
His body was discovered in Elderpark Street in the Govan area of Glasgow.
He was taken by ambulance to Southern General Hospital but was dead on arrival. He has not yet been identified.
Strathclyde Police say they received an anonymous call informing them that a man was lying in the street. When they arrived they found the man seriously injured from stab wounds.
Detective Inspector Fergus Hutcheson said: "Our inquiries are at a very early stage and at this time we are trying to establish the identity of the man and the circumstances surrounding this death.
"A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death. However, in the meantime it is being treated as suspicious."
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
