Driver dies after lorry collision

A man has died after the car he was driving collided with a lorry.

The 48-year-old was travelling on the A801 near Whitburn, West Lothian, when the his Mercedes and an articulated lorry were involved in a crash at around 11.20am on Monday.

Lothian and Borders Police said inquiries were continuing to establish the cause of the accident.
